We believe having the right people on board is key to meeting your project needs. Nibbi’s seasoned construction professionals are supported by a young, motivated staff that bring new ideas and skills to the company. The Nibbi team specifically chosen for your project will expertly manage every detail—from conceptual estimate through project closeout—ensuring that each decision supports the project’s budget, schedule, quality, sustainability, and safety objectives. Our years of experience working effectively with our project partners—architects, subcontractors, and state and local agencies—also help us to navigate your project through each stage of construction expertly.
The Right Approach
Nibbi has learned from decades of experience that the right approach is honest, collaborative and proactive, and supported by advanced technology. An honest, realistic and transparent assessment of costs, for example, gives our clients greater price certainty. Early team collaboration, when teamed with creative, proactive problem-solving, can help us maximize quality and avoid significant problems down the road. Additionally, our team’s expert use of advanced technology, including Building Information Modeling, allows us to build your project virtually before we build it in the field, leading to fewer change orders and related budget/schedule impacts.
Our Story
We’ve built our business on a foundation of integrity and strong relationships. Our clients, industry partners, and employees are at the core of everything we do.
In 1950, Marino Nibbi started a small carpentry business in San Francisco. Word quickly spread about Marino’s quality work and honest, straightforward approach. As the business grew, Marino’s brother Pete joined him, and together, they formed Nibbi Brothers.
Marino’s two sons, Sergio and Larry, joined the company in 1957 and 1965, respectively, and helped grow the company. Upon Marino’s retirement in 1973, Sergio and Larry took on the leadership of Nibbi Brothers.
Today, a third generation leads the company: Bob Nibbi (President and CEO) and Mike Nibbi (Vice President). Joining Bob and Mike are Raj Choudhary (Chief Financial Officer), Greg Narvick (Chief Operating Officer), Joe Olla (VP of Business Development and Marketing), Jeff Hartman (VP of Self-Perform Operations), and Cassie Hilaski (Vice President of Safety & Health).
At our core, we are builders. In 2005, we officially formed Nibbi Concrete, and in 2020, we expanded our services and established Nibbi SPS, specializing in production framing and rough and finish carpentry. By self-performing structural concrete, production framing, and heavy timber, we can provide our clients with greater price certainty, lower costs, stricter schedule control, and higher quality. We leverage innovative practices such as Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance our building capabilities further. Our knowledgeable team, equipped with various VDC software, creates fully integrated project environments that dramatically improve the design and construction process, delivering maximum value to our clients.
Our business has continued to grow over the past decades, with revenues exceeding $450 million, the majority of which are from negotiated projects. This growth is a testament to our integrity, dedication to every project, and the trust we have earned from our clients.
