Project Summary

Building 101 at Pier 70 will be home to the future Restoration Hardware flagship store in San Francisco. Located at the corner of 20th and Illinois Streets, the  70,000 sq. ft. space required rehabilitation work to give new life to the building.

Nibbi’s scope of work included:

  • Structural retrofit to the existing concrete, structural steel, and masonry structure
  • Construction of a new roof house penthouse
  • New mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm systems throughout for future tenant improvements
  • Construction of a new concrete structure for a future café building addition

In addition to the above, our team did an extensive amount of restoration work. Building 101 was originally constructed in 1917, so the building is full of historical value. The Nibbi project team removed and salvaged historically significant wood doors, trim, wainscot, wall paneling, and ceilings; restored the original wood windows and restored the original plaster and precast façade.
