Nibbi’s VDC and BIM team has successfully leveraged new technologies like robotic total station, drones, and reality capture within existing and occupied facilities. Employing new technologies by Innovative Technology Solutions that utilizes laser scanning and 3-D imaging, we create 3-D models and working drawings of a building’s existing conditions, which significantly minimizes inaccurate dimensioning and coordination around existing structures or systems.

Nibbi begins the VDC process at the earliest available opportunity when design changes have the least cost and schedule impacts. The mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems can be coordinated in the collaboration software Naviswork during the early design phases. Building the project virtually before we construct it in the field can save time and money while enhancing the quality and focusing on safety.
