Project Summary

In March 2004 the Archdiocese of San Francisco awarded Nibbi Brothers work at Fr. Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo. Nibbi has a strong relationship with the Archdiocese, having done several school additions and church renovation projects for them. The San Francisco-based firm Corlett Skaer DeVoto Architects (CSDA) provided design services. The project was a part of a Master Plan for the school developed by CSDA which was completed in 2001. The first part of the master plan included an upgrade of the athletic facilities, underground utility installation and a new classroom building.

Named Phase IA, Nibbi built a new football and baseball bleacher building along with a three-level 150 stall parking garage to replace the existing surface lot on the campus. The football bleachers hold 923 seats and the baseball bleachers hold 211. Both buildings are CMU/Poured-in-Place concrete, which was self-performed by the Nibbi Concrete. Nibbi Brothers also performed major site work, including underground utilities distribution, grading and paving.
