The Caltrain Station project consisted of renovation work which provided a new fully enclosed glass and steel concourse. The concourse was equipped with skylights and new electrical infrared signs for the hearing impaired. Two automatic door entrances were added and a new office for the Station Manager. The existing restroom and lobby areas were completely demolished and constructed so the station’s lobby now faces the train tracks. In addition, the restrooms were brought up to ADA Standards. The project site, which has approximately 25,000-30,000 commuters daily, remained open and in operation during the course of construction. Nibbi was successful with no interruptions to Caltrain operations.
