Brooklyn Basin Paseo Estero and Vista Estero

Brooklyn Basin is a master-planned community along Oakland’s waterfront that will provide over 3,100 new homes, retail, parks, and open spaces and will transform a formerly-industrial site on the Oakland Estuary into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood.

Paseo Estero and Vista Estero is the first phase of building affordable housing within Brooklyn Basin’s master development plan. The project is two buildings with 101 affordable family rental housing units and 110 units of affordable senior rental housing. Paseo Estero provides 36 one-bedroom, 15 two-bedroom, and 50 three-bedroom apartment homes for families earning up to 60% of Area Median Income (AMI). Community amenities include a multi-purpose community room, computer lab, fitness center, courtyard, secured bicycle storage, and a children’s playground. Vista Estero provides 106 one-bedroom and 4 two-bedroom apartment homes for seniors earning up to 60% of Area Median Income (AMI). Amenities include a community room, computer lab, balance studio, courtyard, secured bicycle storage, and an arts and crafts room.

Both buildings are 4 stories of Type V wood framing over at grade 2-story Type I concrete garages.
