Renovation of the St. Dominic Lourdes Convent Facility in San Rafael.
Project Summary
Nibbi Brothers provided the Dominican Sisters with a new Convent Facility located at 77 Locust Ave in San Rafael. The $1.7 Million renovation project included structural upgrades and remodeling the convent’s 24 living units, common corridors, dining room and living room space. In addition the 17,630 square-foot facility was occupied during the course of construction.
Some sustainable building elements include:
- Hydronic heating
- Installation of light wells for natural light
- Utilization of low VOC emitting materials such as adhesives, coatings, paints & sealants
