Nibbi Brings Affordable Housing to the South Bay.

Project Summary

Completed in February of 2006, Cinnabar Commons is a 245-unit family-housing development North of downtown San Jose. The 4-acre site has four, 4-story buildings with 3-levels of wood-frame housing over a concrete parking garage consisting of 426 parking stalls. This project marks the largest housing development Nibbi Brothers has built in the San Jose area. Nibbi Brothers provided extensive preconstruction and construction services to the project which was partially funded through State Tax Credit. One of the largest challenges in which Nibbi Brothers overcome was the 30-day work stoppage in which the job was temporarily halted while the Owner and the City of San Jose resolved funding issues. This was a crucial point of the project. Nibbi resumed construction and made up the delay by re-sequencing and subcontractor collaboration. With aggressive scheduling, the project was brought back on schedule.
