In order to meet the State of California SB1953 (seismic strengthening of all State’s healthcare facilities) Channing House planned the construction of this new 2-story, concrete structure for assisted living and skilled nursing facility. The new facility will be home to 27 assisted living residents and 26 skilled nursing residents. The project will consist of 48,849 square-feet and will have an underground parking garage consisting of 36 parking stalls. This project is an OSHPD 1 project.
Sustainable building elements include:
- Low-emissivity glass for all windows
- Water reclaim systems
- Zero use of CFC-based refrigerants in HVAC systems
- Use of low-emitting adhesives, sealants, paints, coatings, carpet and composite wood.
