Plaza Apartments included in AIA-San Francisco list of Top 25 Buildings

Plaza Apartments, a 9-story Single Resident Occupancy (SRO) building on Howard Street at 6th, has been named one of the Top 25 buildings in San Francisco/Marin Counties. 

 

The list was released by the San Francisco Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and includes other recently completed projects, such as the new DeYoung Museum and Federal Office Building.  San Francisco institutions including City Hall and the Palace of Fine Arts also made the list. 

 

Plaza Apartments was developed by the Public Initiatives Development Corporation, a non-profit housing subsidiary of the Redevelopment Agency.  It was designed by Leddy Maytum Stacy and Paulett Taggart Architects in Association.

 

Plaza has won numerous awards including three AIA awards and one from California Construction magazine.
