Nibbi
Brothers, in a joint venture with Baines and Robertson, was selected to
build this project consisting of 10 affordable single-family homes on 10
uphill slope lots in the Bayview-Hunter’s Point neighborhood. The homes
are three and four bedroom view homes, for sale to first-time home
buyers. Each home is two stories over a single-car garage and is
approximately 1,652 SF. One home will be a handicapped-accessible unit
with an elevator. Nibbi is coordinating its work with the Habitat For
Humanity construction workforce on two of the homes. The site is located
within an existing neighborhood which makes for challenging access. To
re-condition the site while protecting the adjacent structures, extensive
earthwork was performed. This work included excavation as deep as 20
feet, soil re-compaction and extensive concrete retaining wall work. |
