This project consisted
of the new construction of a 3 story youth center on the site of an
existing school campus. The project includes an indoor gymnasium,
multi-purpose space, commercial kitchen, several activity rooms and an
outdoor playground. The building combined two separate building systems,
a concrete structure with concrete slabs and a structural steel/truss
system. The exterior of the building combined brick veneer, GFRC, precast
panels, cement plaster, decorative sheet metal and is topped off with
both a metal roof and a built-up roof. The project was constructed next
to many existing properties and had extensive shoring and underpinning
designs. |
