Nibbi Brothers self-performed the concrete work for the new Medical Center. Our scope of work included a 7,000 cubic yard mat slab, slabs on grade, concrete on metal decks, shotcrete perimeter walls, columns and decks for two levels of below-grade parking of 1,400 stalls. In total, 41,000 cubic yards of concrete and shotcrete were used.

Due to the magnitude of the concrete pours, night service was utilized from the suppliers. Concrete work was performed between 10 pm and 10 am utilizing the full capacity of the plants. The 4-foot thick mat slab had pours of 2,500 cu. yds. each, while the suspended slabs of 25,000 sq. ft. each consisted of pours in excess of 700 cu. yds.
