Nibbi was awarded the parking structure and new surface lot by the City and County of San Francisco. The 6-story concrete structure has 811 parking stalls. The construction of the garage is post-tensioned concrete, poured-in-place frame, with concrete panel exterior walls. The property was a former MUNI bus yard and required demolition of the existing building and extensive hazardous material clean-up. Scope of work included a bio-remediation facility, parking control systems, security systems, installation of special wall panels by the project artist, new sidewalks, driveways, curbs, gutters, and landscaping. The site covers an entire city block bound by 23rd St., 24th St., Utah St. and San Bruno Avenue. |
